If you haven't been to the Aquarium of the Americas, then you really should go if you find yourself down New Orleans way. These pics are pre-Katrina, as are all the pics for these palettes, but the Aquarium did actually survive Katrina. Of course, without power to filter the water and provide oxygen to the fish, they lost most of their species, including many sharks, but they have since rebuilt their magnificent environments, mimicking all of the bio-diversity to be found in the aquatic habitats of both North and South America. It is really a fantastic experience, along with the D-Day Museum, the Cabildo, St. Louis Cathedral, the Presbytere, and the 1850 House. What a city!
